DFW ATSAC II Terminal A

  • CLIENT: DFW AIRPORT
  • MARKET: AVIATION
  • SERVICES: RENOVATION
  • CONTRACT VALUE: $10 MILLION

This reconfiguration of existing spaces was accomplished in all parts of the 1 million-square-foot Terminal A at DFW Airport. The reconfiguration allowed space for installation of seven EDS x-ray scanning machine configurations to check baggage going onto planes. The reconfiguration and relocation of existing spaces impacted airport and airline operations located on ramp and concourse levels, so the project required the relocation and build-out of major American Airlines operations occupying the existing spaces. Construction of TSA support facilities and workspaces–including two ETD rooms for baggage screening–were included, as well as screening facilities for oversized and curbside checked baggage.
