This project was a ground-up addition with drilled piers and structural slab foundation. Metal stud walls with metal panels and storefront system made up the exterior walls. The roof was a metal standing seam roof. The finish out of the addition was ceramic tile, paint, and sealed concrete floors. The addition housed a new men’s and women’s restroom, two janitors’ closets, and an electrical room. The renovation of the existing shed included new building insulation throughout, new exterior walls where dock doors were demoed out, four finished out community wash rooms, a finished out office and storage room, and new utilities. There was a domestic water loop and natural gas loop though the interior of the building for vendors use.
There was an entirely new mechanical and electrical system installed. The mechanical system included two boilers, a chiller, several pumps, five air handlers, four fan coil units, and thousands of feet of hydronic piping. The entire system was supported by new structural steel. The electrical system included a new transformer, new main switchgear, several new panels, buss duct for vendor power, a cable tray system, and new light fixtures throughout.
