Brookhaven’s new Workforce & Continuing Education Building is planned to be 25,000 square feet in size. The facility is planned to consist of programmatic spaces for corporate and continuing education programs, general classrooms, and support space. The project is currently in the design development phase. The design team is further developing the project’s design with the creation of line drawings of the work to be performed, and it’s estimating the preliminary costs associated with that work. When the design development is complete, it will be reviewed by the construction manager for constructability and cost. It will then be approved by selected college staff and the bond program manager before the design team moves to the next step.
